West London Action for Children

About the service

West London Action for Children promotes the wellbeing of children, working with them, their families and carers to achieve positive change. It offers free, confidential and professional counselling and therapy, parenting groups and groups for children in schools.

The organisation helps clients who face challenges, including:

  • domestic violence
  • bereavement, divorce and separation
  • school exclusions, bullying, and truancy
  • mental health concerns
  • parenting difficulties
  • resettlement trauma
  • substance misuse
  • experiences of abuse
  • racism, among others.

About the service

For women CIC is a London based, not-for-profit organisation founded by women, for women.

Through various activities, which span from peer-to-peer talking groups, mental health and wellbeing sessions, mind and body exercise classes, group day trips and much more. We are dedicated to tackling loneliness and isolation and supporting women to not just live, but to thrive in life.

Antidote – LGB&T Drug and Alcohol Support Service

About the service

Antidote is the UK’s only LGBT run and targeted drug and alcohol support service. Set up in 2002, the team works with both drug and alcohol users and healthcare professionals. Antidote gives non-judgemental free advice and support delivered by highly trained staff and volunteers – all of whom identify as LGBT+, and who have a good understanding of the pressures and problems that come with recreational drug or alcohol use.

Antidote offers:

  • key working to address immediate drug, alcohol and chemsex support needs
  • group work (Chemcheck, SWAP, Reclaim)and relapse prevention support
  • sober social activities
  • referral to detox clinics and prescribing centres
  • referral to our counselling service
  • two weekly drop-ins to discuss substance use issues, sexual health and mental health
  • a intensive structured weekday programme (SWAP)
  • training and support for healthcare professionals
  • women workers are available across the service

About the service

Switchboard LGBT+ helpline is the national LGBTQIA+ support line. For anyone, anywhere in the country, at any point in their journey. Switchboard can discuss anything related to sexuality and gender identity. Whether it is sexual health, relationships or just the way you are feeling. This is your space – to explore, talk and be truly heard.

About the service

Student Health is a free app, which contains over 900 pages of reliable health information, including mental health advice.The app was co-created by practising doctors and students and has been approved as a trusted source by the NHS. Student Health app works offline providing access to app content without internet connection.

It offers information and advice about mental health, first aid and emergencies, alcohol an drugs, healthy living love and relationships, male and female health, healthy living, safety and NHS support.
