Drinks receptions
Leighton designed his house with entertaining in mind, which is why it is the perfect venue for hosting evening drinks receptions. We offer two options to choose from depending on your guestlist. These are the Arab Hall reception and the Whole House reception.
Our spaces
The Arab Hall reception is for up to 80 guests and includes all rooms on the ground floor. These are the dining room, drawing room and of course the Arab Hall, based on the 12th-century palace of La Zisa, Palermo, lined with Leighton’s priceless collection of Iznik tiles.
The Whole House reception has all the benefits of the Arab Hall reception but allows guests to also move upstairs to enjoy the Silk room, where Leighton housed his collection of other artists paintings, and the studio, where he created his most famous works.
Guests may take drinks in the garden until 9pm (weather dependant) between May and September.
