We will take reasonable and appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is protected from unauthorised access or modification, unlawful destruction and improper use.

Data protection for online events and recordings

Some of our online events (i.e. talks, lectures, study days, workshops) may be recorded and published on the museums online channels, including YouTube. We may also make those recordings available to purchase via the museums' online ticketing solution.

You will be notified before the event and again as you join if it is going to be recorded. By joining a recorded event, you are giving your consent to be recorded. Leighton House and Sambourne House have procedures in place to minimise the risk to your privacy and to ensure recordings are managed appropriately in line  with data protection legislation. You can also protect your own privacy by muting your microphone, turning your camera off, using an appropriate pseudonymous screen name or avoiding any personal information to be disclosed during the course of the event (for instance, via comments or questions in the platform's chat, actively participating or sharing your screen).

 

Changes to our privacy statement

If our privacy commitment changes, the changes will be posted on the website, so that you will always know what information is gathered, how it is used and whether it will be disclosed to anyone.
