Support for adults who are bereaved through suicide
BWW Mind
BWW Mind provides bereavement through Suicide support for residents in Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
The service is a single point of contact providing practical support to individuals, families and others bereaved and affected by suicide.
Services offered include:
- one to one support
- relevant information including the Help is at Hand booklet
- signposting to bereavement support organisations
- peer support groups and mental health services and counselling
- advocacy and liaison support during inquests or related meetings that may be part of the process following the suicide.

Suicide & Co
Suicide & Co provides a helpline, online resources from day one, and counselling 6 months after the bereavement. To speak to a counsellor, call 0800 054 8400 (open 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday) or email [email protected].

Facing the Future
Facing the Future provides safe online support groups for people bereaved by suicide where they can talk through their feelings with others who have similar experiences.
There are support groups on Zoom run by two trained volunteer facilitators from Samaritans and Cruse Bereavement Support. The groups run once a week over six consecutive weeks, with each session lasting for 90 minutes. There are a maximum of seven participants in each group and sessions are free of charge.

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBs)
Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBs) offer peer-led support to adults at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow. They aim to provide safe, confidential environments where people can share their experiences and feelings. Call 0300 111 5065.

The New Normal
The New Normal aims to change the way we discuss grief, mental health and well-being in open and honest spaces through peer-to-peer support. There is never any pressure to talk if you would prefer just to attend and listen. Email [email protected] or join in-person meetings.
Cruse Bereavement Care
Cruse Bereavement Care offers one-to-one support and a helpline. Call 0808 808 1677 Monday to Friday between 9.30 to 5pm and Tuesday to Thursday from 9.30 to 8pm.

Support After Suicide Partnership
Support After Suicide Partnership is a UK-wide network of over 70 members and supporters. They are a special interest group of the National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA) based at Samaritans. They have a series of helpful toolkits.
