The services listed offer general community support and help reduce social isolation.

Community and Maternity Champions

Community and Maternity Champions Projects are funded by the Council and managed by paid project coordinators based in the voluntary sector. Local volunteers are trained and supported to deliver health information and wellbeing activities in their local area. They support expectant and new parents and encourage healthy lifestyle choices to help communities thrive.

Children’s Centres and Family Hubs

Children’s Centres and Family Hubs support parents or carers and the children they care for. Friendly, experienced and qualified staff are on hand to assist you with making choices and using services.

For Women

For Women offer holistic mental health and wellbeing support services dedicated to tackling loneliness and isolation and supporting women in London. They offer activities every month which you can see on their online calendar.

Maxilla Men’s Shed

Maxilla Men’s Shed is a community workshop and maker space with a focus on tackling social isolation, funded by the NHS North Kensington Recovery Programme.

Launched in September 2019, the Shed is based at ACAVA’s Maxilla Studios on the Westway estate in North Kensington.

Dad’s House

Dad’s House aims to make sure children remain the priority after divorce, separation or bereavement. They will help all Dads in need but cannot assist anyone that has been charged with any physical/verbal abuse of their children/partner. The goal is to have drop-in centres around the UK run by Dads.

Central and North West London (CNWL) Check in and Chat Service

The CNWL Check in and Chat Service  is a friendly, compassionate and supportive service for individuals who may be experiencing loneliness, isolation, exhaustion, poor mental health or who just feel they need a listening ear. The service is for unpaid carers of people who are accessing a Central North West London NHS (CNWL NHS) service.

Kensington and Chelsea Sport and Leisure services.

Exercise can have a huge positive impact on mental health. Most of our leisure centres offer group exercise classes which can help improve people's social life too.
