In an Emergency call 999 if you or someone you know experiences a life-threatening medical or mental health emergency. Stay with the person and continue to talk to them if you can.

Samaritans

Whatever you are going through, call this free, confidential telephone support, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can call 116 123 (Available 24/7) or email [email protected] or write the Samaritans a letter

Papyrus

Papyrus is for people who are under 35 and struggling with suicidal feelings or concerned about a young person who might be.

The Listening Place

The Listening Place offers free, confidential and ongoing face-to-face listening, by appointment, to people who feel that life is no longer worth living. 

Help can be accessed via website referrals and can be made through professionals, concerned third parties or via self-referrals. Or you can call 020 3906 7676 (Open from 9am to 9pm, seven days a week).

Local NHS Single Point of Access

Local NHS Single Point of Access is a 24/7 helpline run by trained clinicians in your local area who can offer support and signpost to services. You can also call 0800 0234 650 (Available 24/7, 365 days a year) or email: [email protected].

The Rape Crisis National helpline

The Rape Crisis National helpline is a 24/7 free phone and online chat service for anyone aged 16 and over in England and Wales who has been affected by rape, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment or any other form of sexual violence.

Galop’s National LGBTQ+ domestic abuse helpline

Galop’s National LGBTQ+ domestic abuse helpline is for LGBTQ+ people experiencing abuse or violence, such as hate crime, domestic abuse, sexual violence, so-called “conversion therapy” or any other kind of abuse. Call 0800 999 5428 or email [email protected].

Respect Men’s advice line

Respect Men’s advice line is a helpline for male victims of domestic abuse. You can Call 0808 8010 327 (Monday to Friday between 10am-5pm) or email [email protected].

National Domestic Abuse Helpline

National Domestic Abuse Helpline supports anyone fleeing domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence. Call 0808 2000 247 (24 hour helpline) or chat online (Monday to Friday between 3pm to 10pm) or use their BSL interpreter service (available Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm).
