OLLIE is a charity dedicated to delivering suicide awareness, intervention and prevention training by empowering professionals and young adults in their communities to lead suicide prevention activities.

OLLIE offer confidential help and advice to young people and anyone worried about a young person. Resources help others to prevent young suicide by delivering a number of training programmes.

How to access the service

If you are supporting someone and there isn’t an immediate threat to life and YOU would like some advice, there is usually someone at OLLIE who you can speak to you during office hours. Find contact details below.

National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA)

About the service

National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA) is an alliance of public, private and voluntary organisations in England who care about suicide prevention and are willing to take individual and collective action to reduce suicide and self-harm, and support those bereaved or affected by suicide.

Suicide prevention training - Every Life Matters

About the service

Kensington and Chelsea Council have commissioned Every Life Matters to deliver a programme of suicide prevention training.

This half-day online training session is aimed at anyone who wants to understand more about suicide, how to spot when someone may be having thoughts of suicide, how to talk openly about suicide, what services and what practical support we can all offer each other.

The training modules are:

  • safety planning
  • suicide alertness
  • suicide awareness

Asian Women Resource Centre (AWRC)

About the service

Asian Women Resource Centre was established over 40 years ago and is a pioneer of services for BME women and children affected by domestic abuse, forced marriages, honour based and faith-based abuse.

AWRC provides support services in the following languages: Arabic, Azerbaijani (Azeri), Bengali, Bangla, Dari, Dutch, Farsi, Gujarati, Hindi, Hinko, Konkani, Kurdish, Marathi, Pashto, Patwari, Persian, Punjabi, Somali, Tamil, Turkish and Urdu. Their service ensures cultural sensitivity, confidentiality and listening in a safe, non-judgemental environment. AWRC has an open-door policy to all women in need, from all ethnicities and backgrounds.

Lattef Project

About the service

Lattef Project provides Muslims, people of faith, and people of minoritised communities opportunities to use faith-based counselling, Islamic counselling to live more resourcefully.

If you are eligible, Lateef Project can provide up to 18 sessions, each 50 minutes long, of free multi-lingual faith-based counselling to adults who are looking to address specific issues with their mental health.

They can provide professional counselling services in English, Turkish, Bangla, Sylheti, Urdu, and Punjabi.

About the service

KeshetUK is an education and training charity with a mission to ensure that Jewish LGBT+ people and their families are included throughout Jewish life in the UK.

KeshetUK offers a range of activities:

  • delivery of culturally sensitive LGBT+ inclusion training
  • development and delivery of educational content in schools and wider Jewish community settings
  • teacher training and ongoing support
  • youth leadership training
  • support for LGBT+ inclusion organisational audits
  • bespoke advice for organisations with difficult situations
  • meeting with individuals such as rabbi, teachers, staff at Jewish organisations - in confidence where necessary - to increase their understanding of what including Jewish LGBT+ people and their families could look like.
