The Council is launching a consultation about asking band H council tax payers to contribute a voluntary payment to invest in people, and helps them build the skills and gain the employment that will improve their lives and the future prospects of those around them.

Scientific paper on environmental contamination around Grenfell Tower

A scientific paper has been published today (Thursday 28 March) by Professor Anna Stec on potential contaminants in the environment around Grenfell Tower. We recognise local people and staff working in the area may be concerned about this issue.
We are urgently seeking interpretation of its findings from specialist scientists, and their advice on next steps. In the meantime, the NHS has put in place a comprehensive set of services including enhanced health checks and support with managing anxiety. If you are worried about your health, you should go to your GP.

Kensington and Chelsea Council Tax agreed for 2019/2020

The Kensington and Chelsea Council section of your council tax bill will increase by 2.99 per cent from 1 April 2019. In addition, a further two per cent will be added to help fund adult social care in the borough. This means that the annual bill from the council for a Band D property will rise to £870.04, an increase of £3.43 per month.
