New Homes, Safer Homes

54 St Helens Gardens is one of the sites included in Phase 1 of the Council’s New Homes Programme and will provide eight new homes - two for social rent, two for key worker and four market rent homes. The design complements the character and street scene of the immediate area and the site is located near Kensington Memorial Park.

Unfortunately, due to complications with the ground works, boundary walls and a protected tree at the front of the site, construction works have been delayed. The viability of the project has also been impacted by the rapid inflation that has continued across the construction industry over the past couple of years. The Council is actively reviewing this project and will make a decision shortly about the way forward.
