Workshops set up to help residents apply to Grenfell Projects Fund

Published: Wednesday 20 October 2021

We’re running a series of workshops together with Portobello Business Centre (PBC) and Kensington and Chelsea Social (KCSC) to help residents and organisations wanting to apply for Grenfell Projects Fund (GPF) money.

Last month we launched the second round of the GPF which provides grants supporting the North Kensington community. This second round launched for pre-qualification applications with the full application process opening on 10 January 2022. A newly-appointed Resident-led Panel of North Kensington residents will co-design the application stage, monitor and evaluate the GPF.

The workshops which you can find out more about on our website, offer access to a range of skills, and intend to boost residents’ confidence, making it easier for them to complete the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) and have a greater chance of accessing funding in their main application. They include; marketing, branding, pricing and the importance of cashflow, bid writing, drafting policy and procedures and presentation skills as well as many more. More workshops are being added all the time so please be sure to keep checking the website.

This year residents have access to £600k of funding which will deliver projects that will benefit the local community. After hearing from our Resident-led Panel, we’ve extended the deadline for the PQQ to Wednesday 1 December so we can reach as many people as possible across North Kensington.

If you need help in completing the online PQQ form, we will be available to support you at The Curve, Bard Road on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 11am to 3.30pm as walk in service (ask for Grenfell Community Team). If you would like to book a different day by appointment or have any questions about applying, please contact [email protected] or call Kevin Ramsey on 07857696791.

If you have an idea for a project and would like to find out more and complete the PQQ, visit our website.
