Early Help, family hubs and support for families

All families face challenges and sometimes need support. Early Help is about providing this support as soon as possible to tackle difficulties for children, young people and families before they become more serious.

Worried about a child?

Early Help and Family Hubs are a way of getting extra support when needed. Our integrated 0-19 (25 with SEND) service aims to help families when difficulties first begin so that we can support them with finding solutions quickly. We will provide free support through a variety of community-based settings including family hubs and schools as well as in the family home. Early help and family hubs mean responding promptly if a child is at immediate risk of harm (or has other significant or complex needs) as much as it means responding to a need which only requires advice or guidance.
