Healthy Schools and Healthy Early Years
All children and young people have a right to the best possible start in life. In Kensington and Chelsea, the Health Education Partnership coordinates the delivery of the local Healthy Schools Partnership and Healthy Early Years Partnership.
The Health Education Partnership works with schools, early years settings and partners. The aims of the partnership are to improve health and well-being, reduce health inequalities, increase social inclusion, school attainment and achievement by:
- Supporting and encouraging schools and early years settings to review health and wellbeing within their policies, curriculum and provisions
- Working with schools and early years settings to develop identified health priorities with sustainable activities and interventions as well as measurable outcomes

School Health Service
Our School Health Service co-ordinates the local delivery of the nationwide Healthy Child Programme (5 to 19 years old). The service provides specialist nursing, advice, support and health promotion activities within state-funded schools. This is to promote their health and well-being for school-age children and young people.
