Infection Control Training

Infection Control Training

Controlling the spread of infection is vital in a wide variety of workplaces including hospitals, care homes, social care, domiciliary or home helps, schools and nurseries, hospitality businesses, and anywhere people work.

It is important that staff operating in high-risk workplaces such as health and social care, housekeeping, and in offices have some knowledge of the control of infection.

We offer taught qualification courses, and e-learning programmes which will give you a similar level of knowledge but not a formal qualification. See the E-learning page.

Qualification certificates are not legally required, but they may help with your due diligence defence. Achieving an infection prevention and control qualification will help entry into employment, enhance promotion opportunities, and assist all business operators in proving that they have displayed diligence and are compliant with the law. Level 2 is suitable for all staff.

Which Infection Prevention and Control Level?

Level 2 – ensures that an employee is aware of the hazards and controls associated with the types of work they undertake. Suitable for managers or supervisors as an introduction.
Managers and supervisors should then consider attending a Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace course.
