Fly tipping
It is an offence, punishable by imprisonment of up to three months, to dump or 'fly tip' material on the highway. If you have any information regarding fly tipping, such as the vehicle registration number or owner’s name, please use the Report it form.
Enforcement
Instances of anti-social activity, like placing rubbish out on the highway outside the stipulated collections times or in an untidy or irresponsible fashion, could be subject to enforcement action.
People found putting rubbish out at any time other than immediately before their collection is due could be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice which at the current time carries a charge of £80 Other offences could mean prosecution.
