There are still three weeks for residents across Kensington and Chelsea to help shape the next year of the borough’s Community Leadership Programme (CLP).
The CLP is returning this April after a successful set of virtual programmes in 2020 and the community can have its say on what courses are provided, how they’re delivered and more via an online consultation which is open until Friday 9 April.
The programme was established to support all residents by strengthening their skills and boosting their knowledge, and last year’s schedule included sessions on everything from football leadership, food safety and project management to accounting, first aid and even barbering.
There was also a series of one-to-one and community sessions led by Styleutions, which helped participants set goals and develop techniques to enhance their resilience and positivity.
Syleutions life coach Bash said:
“I have been humbled by the number of local residents that have made bold decisions and changes to their lives with the support of one-to-one coaching. Through Community Coaching I have seen friendships develop and individuals have grown in confidence.
“I encourage residents to complete the consultation so that future CLP programmes can offer the types of courses and workshops that are needed by the community.”
Monica Jato, who enjoyed personal and community coaching from Styleutions, said:
“It was a privilege to attend the sessions. It has changed my life in many ways – I have learnt a lot and I am so grateful. Attending the session during lockdown was incredibly helpful to keep connected, healthy and active.”
Fellow Styleutions course graduate Nicole Belfon said:
“Bash’s accountability helped me to achieve my goals and adopt a proactive approach to my life. Her guidance and advice equipped me with knowledge on how to achieve my goals and increase my confidence.
“It enabled me to identify and overcome the barriers in my life that prevented me from living my full potential.”
