On Sunday 8 November the nation will mark Remembrance Sunday. This is a chance to commemorate those who have served in the Armed Forces and for us to pay our respects to those who lost their lives at war.
In light of the Coronavirus pandemic and with national restrictions, it has been decided that the Remembrance Sunday Parade and public Act of Remembrance at Sloane Square will not take place this year.
This decision was made with the safety of the borough’s residents, visitors and employees in mind.
As such, I urge residents not to gather at the War Memorials on Sloane Square or Kensington High Street, but instead to observe the Two Minute Silence from the safety of their homes.
