Cllr Elizabeth Campbell, Leader of Kensington and Chelsea Council, said:
“This has been a difficult week for everyone affected by yesterday’s flash floods. Since Monday evening I have been meeting people in Kensington who are tired and anxious.
“Their homes have been damaged and their businesses are suffering.
“I want to reassure you that we are with you. We have staff working around the clock, arranging emergency accommodation and tackling the significant clean-up operation. This will not be a one-day fix and we will continue to work with residents who need support in the days and nights to come.
“Once again I’d like to thank our brilliant communities who have jumped in to help, as friends and neighbours looking out for one another.”
