Residents and business owners can play their part in making Kensington and Chelsea a safer place to live, work and learn by helping to shape a new Community Safety Plan.

Kensington and Chelsea Council is inviting people over the age of 18 who live or own a business in the borough to have their say on the upcoming Plan by sharing the crime and anti-social behaviour issues that affect them via a public consultation.

The consultation includes a series of virtual workshops run by the Safer Kensington and Chelsea Partnership – and anyone taking part in any of the workshops will be rewarded with a £25 gift voucher.

Cllr Emma Will, Lead Member for Community Safety, said:

“Over the past 12 months, Kensington and Chelsea saw a 25 per cent reduction in crime due to the impact of the pandemic. Despite this, crime and community safety is still very important to the Council’s work and we want your input to determine what we need to focus on over the next few years.

“Please take this opportunity to share how you feel or hear more about our work through our virtual workshops. If you don’t have online access, we’d be happy to consult over the phone.”

The virtual workshops take place on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday 2 February 10am – 11am
  • Tuesday 2 February 5:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Wednesday 3 February 2pm – 3pm
  • Wednesday 3 February 5pm – 6pm
  • Tuesday 9 February 6pm – 7pm

Please note, that due to the limited number of attendees we can have at each session, we will not be able to guarantee a space. Selection will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

Find out how to register your interest in attending the workshops. You must register by Thursday 28 January 2021.

If you are not able to attend a virtual workshop due to digital access, please let the Community Safety Team know and a telephone appointment will be made for you with a council officer.

If you have any queries you can contact [email protected] or call 020 7361 3000 and ask for the ‘Community Safety Team’.
