The tennis courts in the parks are managed on behalf of the Council by Idverde. All enquiries can be made through the Sports Booking Office located within Holland Park.
Tennis coaching in the Royal Borough’s parks and open spaces must be through one of our registered coaches. Our coaches are LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) qualified and offer individual lessons and group sessions. Please see below for more information.
Community Free Tennis
Free community tennis hours are available at Holland Park on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9am and 11am. Courts can be reserved on a first come first served basis and no block bookings are allowed.
Please ensure you make your booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Tennis bookings
We have two ways of booking courts – casual booking and annual membership:
Casual booking
Casual booking is available to everyone (not just borough residents) and no membership is required. This allows the customer to book up to seven days in advance. The cost of the court fee is the same as an annual member.
Annual membership
Annual membership is only available for people who live or work in the borough and enables them to book up to 14 days in advance. The cost is £16.40 per year. The court fee is still the same as a casual member.
Online bookings
All bookings can be made online through the Clubs Park website.

Lessons and courses
Individual lessons
Individual tennis lessons will be available all year round at the following parks:
- Holland Park (six tarmac courts, two of them floodlit)
- Kensington Memorial Park (three tarmac courts)
- Avondale Park (three astroturf courts, available from 8am until 4pm)
- Emslie Horniman Pleasance (two astroturf courts)
Adult and junior lessons will be available and can be booked through the sports booking office at Holland Park on 020 7602 2226.
Coaches will be managing their individual schedules, so you need to make the initial enquiry and booking with them. Once you have made the booking, you will need to phone Sports Reception to pay in advance.
Group tennis courses
The Holland Park adult and junior tennis courses are available throughout the year. Book and reserve your place on the Club Spark - Holland Park online booking site (this link will take you directly to the online booking site with the list of courses available).
Teddy Tennis
Groups to inspire children aged 2 to 5+ years to get active and to learn to play tennis. Teddy Tennis works by combining music, pictures and teddy bear characters into a totally interactive learning adventure that young children love.
