What is an Education, Health and Care Plan?
An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is a legal document which specifies the support that must be provided to meet a child or young person's educational, health or social care needs. Local authority assessments for an EHCP are offered to children and young people if the extra support they are receiving is not helping, or if they have severe or complex needs.
