Try your hand at the intricate art of goldwork, working with real gold and other fine materials to adorn a piece of fabric. You will explore design and stitch in this practical workshop learning all about this traditional craft, taking inspiration from contemporary designs to create your own unique piece to take home. 

Useful information

  • This is a drop off workshop suitable for unaccompanied young people aged 11-16yrs.
  • All workshops take place in the  Learning Centre at Leighton House.
  • Entry to the museum and exhibition is included for young people joining the workshop. Adults can enjoy the garden and Drawings Gallery for free, or visit the café, but will need to buy an admission ticket if they wish to visit the historic house.
  • All materials provided.
