Kensington and Chelsea's Autism and Early Years Intervention Team invite parents/carers of an older child or young person with autism to participate in their regular Cygnet Training courses.
The Barnardo’s Cygnet Training is an award-winning parenting support programme for parents/carers of children and young people (aged 5-18) diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. The course includes seven sessions and covers the following topics:
- What is Autism?
- Describing Autism - strengths and challenges
- Sensory Needs
- Communication
- Understanding Behaviour
- Supporting Behaviour
