Overview:
In this heartfelt pop-up lab, participants will learn to craft vibrant crepe or tissue paper flowers, an essential element in decorating Día de los Muertos altars (ofrendas). We will delve into the cultural significance of these flowers, particularly marigolds (cempasúchil), and guide participants through various techniques to create beautiful blooms.
Objectives:
- Understand the cultural importance of cempasúchil in Día de los Muertos celebrations.
- Learn different techniques for crafting various tissue paper flowers and intricate floral designs.
- This workshop is suitable for children 6+ years. Adult assistance may be required for younger learners.
- Materials, guidance and instructions included in the ticket price.
- All workshop participants require a ticket.
- There are only 10 places per workshop.
