The Children and Young People’s Occupational therapy service (CYPOT)

The Children and Young People’s Occupational therapy service (CYPOT) provide occupational therapy services for children and young people to enhance their engagement, performance, and independence in relevant everyday activities. Referrals must identify at least two functional concerns. Referrals may be accepted for sensory processing difficulties but only if these are having a significant impact on at least two areas of functioning. RBKC Children’s Social Care Occupational Therapy

RBKC Children’s Social Care Occupational Therapy provides a specialist assessment of individual family home circumstances, and tailored advice and intervention to meet eligible needs. The service will assess a child with "permanent and substantial disability" resulting from ASD in the context of the home and enable access to equipment and adaptations to enable independence where possible. The service is for ages 0-16 and has an open referral system with information on the RBKC website and Local Offer. It is free and available Mon-Thurs 9-5. Children’s Music Therapy Service

Children’s Music Therapy Service provide sessions involving shared music making, using improvised or familiar music, allows children to build musical relationships which may contribute to their development across a range of areas. Referrals are made in agreement with parents by staff members within either the Cheyne or Woodfield Child Development Services. The service also provides advice and training to parents and professionals to increase awareness of the benefits of music making within child health and education settings, and how music can support wellbeing in everyday life. The service is offered at Child Development Service bases at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Woodfield Road Medical Centre and the Parkview Centre for Health and Wellbeing.
