Oral health during pregnancy

You are entitled to free NHS dental treatment if you're pregnant when you start your treatment and for 12 months after your baby is born.

To get free NHS dental treatment, speak to your midwife, GP or health visitor. They'll complete the application for you for the maternity exception certificate. They can do this as soon as they confirm that you’re pregnant.
