If you are a Care Leaver

Care leavers who are liable to pay their own Council Tax directly (rather than as part of a service charge) will receive a 100% discount from their Council Tax until their 25th birthday. The discount cannot extend beyond a care leaver’s 25th birthday. The discount will start once a care leaver moves into their final stage accommodation (social housing or privately rented) rather than when they are living in hostel accommodation.

Care leavers who live in Kensington and Chelsea but were placed there by another local authority or chose to move to Kensington and Chelsea independently are not eligible for the discount.
