Statement on the future of Kensington and Chelsea College

Kensington and Chelsea Council chief executive, Barry Quirk, has written to the Further Education Commissioner at the Department for Education to outline the council’s position and to ask for a transparent and consultative process in deciding the future of Kensington and Chelsea College.

Because the council has been working with community groups on this project already, we are publishing our correspondence.

We believe the collective priority – and our single most important aspect at the council – is to secure a thriving, high-performing and sustainable Further Education college, in the north and south of the borough, which delivers for residents.
