Freedom Pass
The Freedom Pass gives free travel on most public transport in London 24 hours a day (after 9.30am on most National Rail services within the London area), including all day at weekends and on public holidays. This pass may also be used to travel on local bus services in the rest of England.
There are two types of Freedom Pass available, both are only available to people who are resident in London:
- Older Person’s Freedom Pass: For people over women’s pension age.
- Disabled Person’s Freedom Pass: For people with qualifying disabilities.
The Freedom Pass is paid for by your local council and the scheme is managed by London Councils on behalf of the London boroughs. If your Disabled Persons Freedom Pass was migrated onto an Older Persons Freedom Pass and you would like to swap it back to a Disabled Persons Freedom Pass, please contact the Accessible Transport Service [email protected] for advice.
