The Kensington & Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (the TMO) and the Council have signed the legal agreements formalising the handover of housing management services from the TMO to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

This means from Thursday 1 March, the Council will take over the running of all day-to-day services, including repairs and cleaning services. The majority of TMO staff will transfer over to the Council.

This is only a temporary arrangement while residents decide how they want their homes managed in the future. The Council will engage with tenants and leaseholders as part of a formal consultation process over the coming months.

The Council will also take ownership of Repairs Direct, the company which runs the repairs service for your homes.

Until Thursday 1 March the TMO will continue to run housing management services. After that date, residents will start to see small changes. The Council will be reviewing the current service, prioritising the delivery of repairs and major works.

The TMO will continue to exist as a legal entity so it can be called to the public inquiry and held to account in any criminal or civil legal proceedings that may take place in the future.

After Thursday 1 March the contact number for the TMO - 0800 137 111 - will transfer to the Council and the TMO website - www.kctmo.org.uk will automatically link to the housing management section of the Council’s website.
