Residents are invited to join the Mayor, Cllr Will Pascall, who will lead a short Act of Remembrance at the Kensington War Memorial from 10.55am on Sunday 10 November. The War Memorial can be found on the corner of Kensington High Street and Kensington Church Street.
The ceremony will be attended by councillors, other civic leaders, members of the armed forces (past and serving), cadets and representatives of many community organisations. We are also expecting 20 members of the 256 (City of London) Field Hospital (V) Regiment, which has the Freedom of the Borough.
For those who wish to stay after the ceremony, a Service of Remembrance will be held in St Mary Abbot’s Church, Kensington Church Street, W8 4LA.
An alternative Act of Remembrance will be led by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Walaa Idris, at the War Memorial on Sloane Square. This will also take place on Sunday at 10.55am.
