Over the last few months, through our Let’s Talk K&C and Grenfell legacy conversation, residents have shared ideas on what the Council should focus on and how the Council can use the learning from Grenfell to change for the better.
As we draw up plans for the future, which will be set out in our new Council Plan in March next year, we want to continue these conversations to ensure we hear from as many people as possible. So far, we have heard from residents in different locations across the borough and at an event we hosted with our Citizens’ Panel.
Cllr Elizabeth Campbell, Leader, Kensington and Chelsea Council said:
“We want to become the best Council for our residents so that Kensington and Chelsea is a greener, safer, and fairer borough for everyone who lives here.
“We know that becoming the best starts with listening. We want everyone to have the chance to tell us what is important to them and contribute their views for our next Council Plan. The more information we have, the better we can deliver the right services to the right people.”
The contributions we’ve heard so far have been important in helping us understand your priorities. This has helped shape the questions in our Let’s Talk K&C Resident Survey. Take the survey now – it’s open until 3 Jan 2023.
You can also give feedback on the Council’s draft budget proposals for next year here.
If you would like to contribute to the conversation in person, we are holding two engagement events. These events will be hosted by a representative of the Council’s Leadership Team and are an opportunity to discuss what is most important to you. Please do pop down to one of the events on the following dates:
- Wednesday 23 November from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Al Manaar, The Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, Acklam Road
You can register for this event here.
- Thursday 15 December from 5.30pm – 7.30pm at Chelsea Old Town Hall, King’s Road
