Youngsters were immersed in the wonders of the natural world during a green-themed half-term activity in Chelsea.
Children and parents headed to Cremorne Gardens for the hands-on Nature Connectedness day led by experts from the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew’s Wakehurst wild botanic garden.
Activities included a senses wellbeing walk, treasure and scavenger hunts, planting sessions and the chance to try out nature-related arts and crafts.
The free event was supported by Kensington and Chelsea Council and its development partner Mount Anvil.
Cllr Emma Will said:
“Our borough is blessed with some wonderful parks and green spaces, and it was a pleasure to see some of our young people getting out and enjoying them at the Nature Connectedness Day.
“In a world where we spend so much time around technology, it’s really important to step away from screens and remind ourselves of the beauty and benefits of the natural world.”
