The Council has launched a new survey called the Youth Review to help us choose what services we provide to young people who live in the borough. We know that the needs of children are always changing, and new issues and challenges can emerge. These can include topics such as employability, safety, youth violence, mental health support, sports and other activities. That’s why every few years, we recommission our services so that we’re constantly adapting to be the best Council for young people.
The survey takes around five minutes to complete, and young people who take part can enter a prize draw to win a £100 high street shopping voucher.
By funding community partners to deliver services to young people, we aim to give young people in Kensington and Chelsea the best possible start in life and provide a rich and varied offer that both supports and enriches their lives. Currently, we fund providers that offer arts, sports, crafts, cultural activities, cooking, meditation and more, while also providing funding to organisations that offer support when young people are facing challenges in their lives.
It's important that we hear from a wide range of young people so that the activities and services available to them respond to the interests and needs they have, and to any unique challenges they face growing up in this part of the world.
Are you, or do you know, a young person who lives in Kensington and Chelsea? Why not encourage them to complete the Youth Review survey for a chance to win a £100 voucher and to make Kensington and Chelsea a better place for young people to grow up?
