Kensington and Chelsea Council has started working with partners to develop an economy strategy for the borough which will be completed by July 2019. The priorities will be skills and employment, business and enterprise, planning and investment.
We’ve heard in previous consultations that residents want the Council to make it easier for people to find support.
They also identified the most important themes for residents are: helping young people into work, creating more employment opportunities for local people within the Council, encouraging businesses to employ more local people, more support for small business and social enterprise, tackling low pay, looking at pathways into education and employment, cultivating philanthropy and removing barriers to work.
On Thursday 9 May, The Help us to Help You event is being held at Bay 20 Community Centre located at 71 St Marks Road from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Residents and businesses are being invited to tell the Council how to make it easier to get better paid work, develop skills and or start a business. If you cannot attend you can email your comments
