Delivering services from the World’s End Estate
Residents have told us that they value local support services. The Council has committed to work with residents, learning from the pioneering work on the Lancaster West Estate, to pilot a similar approach on the World’s End Estate and surrounding area. Some areas that might be examined and improved could be: making it easier to speak to Council staff in person, making sure services are joined up, making it easier to access advice and guidance and supporting residents with their employment and skills needs.
What help do we need from residents?
Kensington and Chelsea Council is looking for residents from the World’s End Estate and surrounding estates and area who can help us champion the voices of the community.
We are looking for a group of residents to work alongside Council officers to co-design engagement activities which will help us to understand what additional services residents would like to see delivered in the local area.
What would be involved?
Volunteers would take part in a co-design group, alongside Council officers, to design community engagement activities (and potentially help deliver the engagement) and assist with the analysis and reporting of the findings. You will need to have an interest in supporting service improvements in the area and time to meet. The frequency of meeting would be up to the group but is likely to be every two to four weeks between February and June 2024.
We will offer workshops and training to support residents through the process.
What’s next?
If you are interested in taking part, and live on the World’s End Estate or surrounding estates and area, please email [email protected] with the following information: Your name, address, email address and phone number.
We are looking to organise the first meeting in mid-February.
