There are lots of great things about the internet and social media. We can learn new things, share news, photos and videos, and connect with our friends and family.
Unfortunately, the internet and social media can sometimes be an unsafe space for children and young people. Sometimes people pretend they are someone they aren’t, sometimes they steal your information or share it when you didn’t want them to, or sometimes they can threaten and intimidate you.
It is really important that you know everything you need to in order to feel and be safe online.
