Little Wormwood Scrubs Cycling Event for Tour De France
Friday 19 July 11am to 2pmCome to the Tour de Kensington and Chelsea, Friday 19 July!
With the Tour de France in full swing, you may be feeling you want to get out on your bike, but you’re worried about it as you haven’t been cycling for a long time.Come along anytime between 11am and 2pm and enjoy activities such as:
- free checks and service of your bike from Dr Bike
- all ability cycling which gives you the chance to try out different bikes
- cycle with confidence if you feel nervous on a bicycle
- side-by-side cycling for those with physical or mental disabilities
- meeting cyclists from a local BMX club
Kensington and Chelsea Summer Games Festival
Sunday 28 July 10.30am to 4pmEnjoy the summer of sport by coming along to take part in a host of taster sessions for adults and children and get a taste of the Olympics. You can enjoy:
- football
- basketball
- tennis
- badminton
- assault course
- boxing
- running
- other Olympic sports
- inflatable dartboard
- facepainting for children
For men, don’t miss out on visiting the Men’s Zone, featuring the TrimTalk project (funded by the Mayor of London). You can get health checks, plus a haircut and enter in competitions for prizes.
There are a host of other stalls at the event as well to offer help and advice on a range of health concerns including a team from the Royal Marsden, stop smoking advice, dealing with drugs and alcohol. There is also advice on health eating, physical activity and better sleeping.
Free for any age and ability, come along and join in the fun!

A type of HITT workout – high-intensity interval training, from quick punches to fast feet all the movements will be sure to raise your heart rate.Movements and exercises all based on boxing training which elevates heart rate, weight loss, increased fitness, strength, and conditioning.

Free opportunity to participate in activity sessions in the park. Available to all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, led by qualified instructors for fun and accessible activities. These are being brought to you by Kensington and Chelsea Council.

- Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness. No equipment needed.

The IRunYouWalk Collective
A weekly running and activity session focused on bringing community together focusing on fitness, health and wellbeing.
Promoting mixed abilities, from beginners to experienced, young and old, rain or shine, the IRunYouWalk collective will be out running and walking.
Gerard (Running Mayor of RBKC ) has pledged to make a difference in the community and through leading runs, walks 2k fun runs, 5k, 10k, half marathons and full marathons.
The IRunYouWalk Collective opens its doors to the community with the mission to inspire and demonstrate that everybody can achieve.

Nordic Walking
Nordic walking is a Finnish-origin total-body version of walking that can be enjoyed both by non-athletes as a health-promoting physical activity, and by athletes as a sport. The activity is performed with specially designed walking poles like ski poles.

Will outdoor sessions go ahead regardless of weather conditions?
Sessions will go ahead unless high winds or thunder and lightning. Please ensure you bring suitable clothing with you.
