Annual home visits
Our aim is to visit every home once a year. Our visiting officers are here to talk to you about your home and to check that it is safe. The visits help us to identify residents who may need extra help and ensure we have up-to-date information and contact details for you. This helps us plan, tailor and deliver our services in a way that benefits everyone.
Our visiting officers strive to make the experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible.
Home visits are an essential part of the service we provide to all our tenants, so if you haven’t had a visit so far this year, please get in touch on 0800 137 111 or email [email protected] so we can arrange one with you.
What happens during a visit?
A visiting officer will talk to you about any issues you may have, including:
- advice on a tenancy matter
- help to report a repair or maintenance issue
- health and safety in your home, including checking that smoke alarms are in working order
- any planned work taking place in your area
- advice on tenancies or any financial assistance you may need
Booking your visit
Visits may be unannounced or can be pre-booked for a date and time during normal working hours that suits you, although we can be flexible if needed. Contact us by telephone on 0800 137 111, or email [email protected].
If no one is in when we visit, the visiting officer will leave a card so that you can arrange another date and time within seven days which better suits you.
Monthly prize draw
Once you complete a home visit, you will be entered into a prize draw. Each month, one lucky winner will receive a £100 Love to Shop voucher.
