As the transformation programme continues on our Silchester Estate in North Kensington, the project team thought it was time to have a little fun and spend some time enjoying the sunshine with the residents.
The fun day was a collaborative effort with The Silchester Residents Association, Equans and officers from the Council offering their services and providing support.
The team were also pleased to have representation from AICO demonstrating the importance of the heat and smoke alarms, and the local Met Police Officer who was on hand to speak to residents throughout the day.
To kick off the entertainment for the day a face painter, arts and crafts and gardening stalls were all set up in Waynfleet Square for the children to enjoy, which many did! Later in the day, a DJ set up shop and gave everyone the opportunity to have a dance.
To accompany the entertainment residents were given vouchers to include free food for Jerk Chicken and rice or a vegan option and an Ice cream – which was reportedly brilliant!
Lastly, no fun day would be complete without the opportunity to win a few prizes! The team held a raffle with the opportunity to win Air Fryers, love-to-shop vouchers, a kettle, a popcorn maker and a variety of sweets and chocolates donated by Equans and local businesses.
The team would like to thank all those who came out and enjoyed the day and look forward to hosting many more events with those living on the estate!
We are happy to report that the overall feedback from residents was the day was an overwhelming success and it was great to have some fun with the team!
