Residents who attended the Senior Citizens’ Spring Lunch enjoyed a tasty three course meal followed by a raffle with generous prizes, singalong and plenty of twisting, jiving and toe-tapping. The event was held at the Holiday Inn, Kensington on Friday 26 April.
It was the perfect environment for making connections, developing existing friendships and making new ones.

Merriment continued into the afternoon with guests leaving the party humming their favourite tunes and enjoying just made memories of a happy afternoon in great company, not least our Mayor, Cllr Preety Hudd and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Dori Schmetterling.

Francis (above centre) was enthusiastic about the event: "I think it’s great that we can see old friends from the past and I hope this will continue for a long, long time to come.”
Liz (above left) said: “I look forward to this party every year, the food is always good, and it is lovely to meet old friends, please continue."

The Spring Lunch is one of many events organised by Housing Management Resident Engagement Team as part of its work towards involving all residents.
