Last week, the Colville ward Estate Care Team were in Powis Square introducing themselves to residents as part of a series of summer roadshows being hosted across the borough by Housing Management.
The events are being put on to provide an opportunity for residents to meet and greet staff, following a restructure of the Council's Estate Services department.
Under the new structure, each Estate Care team is led by an Estate Manager who is supported by a Senior Caretaker, and Patch Caretakers provide services to a specific local area. A mobile team also carries out bulk waste removal, scheduled deep cleans, window cleaning, jet-washing, and graffiti removal across the borough, and our new evening caretaking service attends to out-of-hours jobs.
The Colville team were eager to hear feedback from the residents they serve on how they were finding the new service and what further help they could provide with specific issues.
Estate Care Manager for Colville Ward, Charmaine Grant, (pictured middle) said:
“It’s really useful to get out into the community and meet residents. It's great for residents to be able to put a face to a name and it helps us get immediate feedback on the service we provide so we can make improvements."
