A film company will be using a helicopter to film near Trellick Tower in the late afternoon of Wednesday 6 March. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given the production license to film at a low altitude and in the region of 70 to 130 metres from Trellick Tower.
We can imagine this may be distressing for residents in the local area. We weren’t consulted or asked for permission for this filming – the license was granted by the CAA. We have written to the production company and the CAA to object to the filming but unfortunately as we understand it the filming is set to go ahead.
We’d like to reassure you, if you do notice the helicopter, that it is there under the consent of the CAA, and has been properly authorised. We realise that this is very late notice, but we were only informed about this on Tuesday 5 March.
