Got an idea for a social value project?

Published: Wednesday 13 July 2022

As part of the Council's capital works programme, we are working with the contractor Seville to deliver a number of smaller scale improvements and repairs to council-owned street properties across the borough.

These properties include:
•    Kelfield Court
•    Bassett Road
•    Bramley Road
•    Downing House
•    Oxford Gardens
•    Exmoor Street

As part of their contract with us, Seville, must commit funding to what we call 'social value' projects. These are projects or initiatives that directly benefit local residents or their local area.

Some examples could include projects that:
•    Provide local jobs
•    Help local charities
•    Offer training and skills development
•    Provide digital devices to in-need families
•    Improve green spaces
•    Fix broken or under-loved spaces such as sheds, playgrounds, or community centres.

We value your suggestions and would like to hear what type of projects you think would benefit your local community the most, and what type of improvements you would want to see prioritised.

Please send your comments, ideas, and suggestions to [email protected] quoting “Scheme 27 Social Value projects” in the subject field.
