Once you have been summonsed, you have lost your right to pay by instalments

To make an arrangement to clear your arrears or debt, call us on 020 7361 3005, from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. 

If you cannot clear the full outstanding balance before the court date, this arrangement will include the summons costs and the cost incurred for obtaining a liability order. 

We will aim to reach an agreement to help clear your Council Tax arrears or debt at a rate you can afford whilst also meeting our obligation to our residents to collect the money within our guidelines.

If you are unable to repay the debt within 3 calendar months (or before the end of March, if this is sooner) you will have to provide proof of your income and outgoings, e.g. bank statements, pay slips, for us to better assess what you can afford to pay. We will look at your entire financial picture including all your incomings and outgoings, and details of any other debts.

If an arrangement is not agreed or agreed re-payments are not made, further action will be taken. If payments are made in line with the agreed repayment arrangement, we will not take any more legal action against you.
