Applying for a certificate
You can apply to get a certified copy of a certificate if a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership occurred within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea:

If we cannot provide your certificate
If the event did not take place in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea or we have been unable to locate the entry then the Registrar General holds all of the records for England and Wales from 1 July 1837 onwards.
You can order a certificate from the General Register Office on the GOV.UK website.
