Mini recycling centres

The waste electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) banks at Fulham Road (junction with Hortensia Road), SW10 and King's Road (outside Co-Op), SW10 have been repaired and residents can recycle any unwanted mixed recycling, clothes and WEEE.

You can recycle a wide range of things at our mini recycling centres which are located around the borough

Mixed recycling banks

Mixed recycling banks accept:

• paper and card
• glass bottles and jars
• tins and cans
• plastic bottles
• pots, tubs and trays
• food and drink cartons

Before you recycle:

• wash and squash what you can
• keep plastic lids on plastic bottles and cartons
• remove metal lids from glass bottles and jars and put loose with your recycling
• make sure there is no food mixed in with the recycling

Clothes and shoe banks

Clothes and shoe banks accept:

• all unwanted clothes, textiles and old rags
• all unwanted shoes, please tie pairs of shoes together before you put them in the bank

Some banks will accept clothes and shoes in the same bank and others are separate – the bank will be clearly marked accordingly. 

Small electrical (WEEE) banks

You can deposit small electronic and electrical items (WEEE) in some mini recycling centres including:

• mobile phones
• kettles and toasters

The following mini recycling centres have small electrical (WEEE) banks:

• Royal Hospital Road (between Franklin's Row and Ormonde Gate) SW3

• Holland Park car park, (Abbotsbury Road entrance) W14

• Fulham Road (junction with Hortensia Road), SW10
• King's Road (outside Co-Op), SW10

You can't deposit larger items such as big televisions, fridges or freezers.

Food waste recycling banks

Items you can put into the food waste bins:

• Raw and cooked food (including vegetables, meat, fish and bones)
• Fruit and peelings
• Dairy, including cheese and eggs
• Bread and pastries
• Tea bags and coffee grounds
• Eggshells
• Rice, pasta and beans

Please do not put these into the food waste bins:

• Packaging of any kind
• Black bags
• Garden waste
• Liquids (such as milk)
• Oil or liquid fat
• Any material that is not food waste

Mini recycling centre locations

The Cremorne Wharf Civic Amenity and Recycling Centre, and Silchester Road mini recycling centre have closed to the public permanently.
